We are currently seeking applications for a Head of Content & Digital within the Food Standards Scotland based in Aberdeen. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. FSS wishes to significantly increase its visibility, following and engagement levels across digital channels through increasing the output and quality of digital content – a constant presence, tailored by platform with the audience front of mind.

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, you will be responsible for growing and maximising the impact of our digital content to raise awareness of FSS, its campaigns and issues, build engagement with our stakeholders and champion the organisation and Scottish consumers.

Qualifications Required
Relevant qualification and/or substantial relevant marketing, communications or demonstrable experience in strategic and corporate communications and/ or marketing with relevant management experience within an in-house communications, marketing or PR agency environment.

Essential Criteria
1. Demonstrable experience in strategic and corporate communications and/ or marketing with relevant management experience within an in-house communications, marketing or PR agency environment.
2. Excellent personal communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with evidence of developing and maintaining credible and trusted relationships, building effective collaboration and commanding the confidence of internal and external stakeholders and partners.
3. Knowledgeable on the best digital media practices, key social media platforms and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and converting clicks and views into meaningful engagement and understanding.
4. Experience in line management and developing, coaching and leading others to achieve the objectives of both the organisation and individuals
