The recruitment of Modern Apprentices is a fair, open and merit based process (16+) and with permanence from the start of the apprenticeship. The Scottish Government HR Pensions team is currently seeking a Modern Apprentice Pensions Administrator.

The HR Shared Service Centre is a busy operational environment located within People Directorate. We are responsible for ensuring salary and pension changes are processed accurately and timeously to approx. 12,500 staff. These staff include Scottish Government and other public bodies. We are also responsible for the provision of pension administration and the HR helpdesk. Our work is structured around meeting key monthly deadlines and delivering a high level of customer service. In order to facilitate those demands you will need to work flexibly to meet business needs.

Throughout the first 12 months the candidate will be expected to gain a relevant SVQ qualification. Support will be provided by an internal assessor who will work with the successful candidate on a monthly basis. Time will be given to work on your qualification, this includes presenting 2 presentations.

Essential Criteria
1. Ability to plan and organise work and meet deadlines.
2. Strong focus on delivery and customer service.
3. Good written and oral communication skills.
4. Good IT skills using Microsoft Office products.
