We are currently seeking applications for a Private Secretary for Deputy Chief Medical Officer within the Director-General Health and Social Care based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. We have a vacancy for a B2 Private Secretary to the Deputy Chief Medical Officer. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work at the centre of government as part of the response to COVID-19, supporting clinicians in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Essential Criteria

2. An ability to build trust and credibility with senior staff, maintaining good working relationships with colleagues through clear and persuasive written and verbal communication.
3. Strong planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage challenging workloads and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to consider, digest and analyse often complex information quickly and accurately and communicate to a varied audience.
