We are currently seeking applications for Intervention Team Assistant Manager within the Social Security Scotland based in Glasgow. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the safeguarding of vital resources for the people of Scotland through the effective identification and correction of erroneous claims, and the identification of error trends to support process improvement.

It also allows the exciting opportunity to engage closely with project management staff, helping to influence the design of the service, testing processes and systems to shape our evolution. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, be comfortable in a changing environment, and enjoy working collaboratively to identify opportunities for improvements, exploring new ideas and solutions.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent or have experience in a similar role/environment. Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

Essential Criteria
1. Extensive experience of identifying error and correcting awards in a welfare benefit or financial decision making environment.
2. Experience of leading an effective team in an operational/service delivery environment.
3. A proven ability to work effectively in a changing environment, demonstrating flexibility and contributing to overcoming challenges.
4. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to adapt to the needs of your audience.
