We are currently seeking applications for an Associate Content Designer within Social Security based in Glasgow. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. DDaT Pay Supplement
This post attracts a £4,000 DDaT pay supplement after a 9 months DDaT competency qualifying period.  Pay supplements are temporary payments designed to address recruitment and retention issues caused by market pressures and are subject to regular review.

The Smith Commission proposed the devolution of significant welfare powers to the Scottish Parliament. Many of these powers are set out in the new Scotland Act. Once fully enacted, social security benefits in excess of £2.7bn will be transferred from the UK Parliament, including powers to create Scottish benefits for those of working age. This will allow the Scottish Government to establish many elements of a Scottish social security system.

The Social Security Programme Management and Delivery Division has been established to take forward the Scotland Act powers on devolved benefits. This vacancy is in the Business Analysis and Content Unit of the Directorate. A key aspect of this work will be to support the design of the new service, and the development of processes for the administration of benefits - designing and developing operational guidance for all of the areas of operational business for the new social security agency. The Associate Content Designer - Operational Guidance will work alongside Business Analysts, Policy Officers, Product Owners and Solution Developers in multi-disciplinary agile teams to develop the operational guidance to support the Business and System processes.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Essential Criteria
1. Excellent drafting skills with an eye for detail and the ability to develop user centred operational guidance from complex business and system processes.
2. Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written with the ability to deliver to a variety of audiences.
3. Experience of stakeholder engagement.
4. Experience in a project environment and awareness of project methodologies such as Prince 2, Agile.
