We are currently seeking applications for five Improving Gender Balance and Equalities Development Officers within Education Scotland. The posts will be based in various locations across Scotland. These are 47 month fixed term and pensionable appointments and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

Successful candidates will play an exciting role in driving improvement in gender balance and equality within the context of the national STEM Education and Training Strategy. In partnership with the new Regional Improvement Collaboratives they will provide leadership and coordination to ensure the learning from the successful Improving Gender Balance and Equalities (IGBE) programme is embedded in all early learning and childcare settings and schools by 2022. They will also liaise closely with key partners within their regions to support effective cross-sectoral collaboration, coordinate professional learning programmes and to promote whole establishment approaches to equality and equity.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Essential Criteria
1. Experience of leading effective change at local and/or national level.
2. Knowledge of research and practice relating to gender balance and equality. 
3. Experience of collaborative partnership working and engagement with stakeholders.
4. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
