We are currently seeking applications for a Digital Engagement Manager within Digital Communications based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. The Digital Engagement Team is a specialist unit within Digital Communications, responsible for delivering effective online consultation and helping support and promote digital engagement tools and techniques. Digital Communications team is part of the Communications and Ministerial Support Directorate. You will work in the Digital Engagement Team, helping to ensure that all consultations are available online, and support policy colleagues to use digital tools and techniques to engage with citizens and stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Scottish Government’s ambitions of being a more open and accessible government.

Main Duties:
· Ensuring that all official consultations are conducted online and to a high standard via the consultation hub (http://consult.gov.scot)
· Providing training, guidance and support in online consultation and digital engagement tools and techniques
· Helping design and deliver digital engagement solutions for policy makers
· Developing extensive knowledge and understanding of digital engagement tools and techniques and to be informed of evolving best practice
· Promoting the work of the Team and share knowledge and good practice with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications Required:
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Essential Criteria:
1. Proven experience of managing eConsultation platforms or online survey tools.
2. Good understanding of digital communications and engagement platforms.
3. Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to work calmly under pressure and to balance competing priorities whilst meeting tight deadlines.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and productive working relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
