We are currently seeking applications for a Data Analyst within the Information Systems Division based in Saughton House, Edinburgh, EH11 3XD. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

There are two Data Analysts who support a range of services such as data governance, data modelling, data quality management and reference data management. Each Data Analyst will specialise in two or three of these services but will also be expected to have a working understanding of the others in order to ensure continuity of the services. This position will specialise in data quality management and reference data management.

Qualifications Required:
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

Essential Criteria:
1.Experience of working as part of a team to deliver an IT solution.
2.Experience of developing database queries, preferably using SQL.
3.Experience of problem solving where gathering and analysing information was required.
4.Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues in plain English.
