The Scotland Act 2016 devolves responsibility for a number of social security benefits to Scottish Ministers, as well as the power to top up benefits and create new benefits. The Social Security Programme and Delivery Directorate has been established to take forward the Scotland Act powers on devolved benefits.  This vacancy is in the  Business Analysis and Content Unit of the Directorate.  A key aspect of this work will be the design of the new service, and the development of processes for the administration of benefits - designing and developing high, mid and low level processes for all of the areas of operational business for the new social security agency.  This work will draw on information about existing processes and systems in DWP, and key drivers for the design of public services in Scotland.  Requires definition for the procurement or development of IT systems to support the administration of the devolved benefits will also be crucial.
