We are currently seeking applications for a Business Manager within the Climate Change Division based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

The successful candidate will join the Climate Change Division, leading and giving strategic direction to the Divisional Business Management Unit (BMU) and working closely with the Directorate Business Management Unit (based in Glasgow) to achieve an integrated approach to corporate requests and processes, including cross- portfolio initiatives.

Qualifications Required 
For jobs in Band C you must hold a minimum of 3 highers or equivalent. 

Relevant experience will be considered in the absence of the Higher grade requirements.

Essential Criteria
1. Project Management and organisational skills, including the ability to translate broad strategic goals into deliverable work plans.
2. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build supportive and collaborative alliances with colleagues and external contacts at all levels of seniority.
3. Good staff management skills, with the ability to ensure staff wellbeing, particularly during times of peak workload.
4. Financial Management skills and experience of managing budgets.
