We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Communications & Engagement Manager within the Directorate for Communications, Ministerial Support and Facilities based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. This is a great opportunity to work at the heart of the Scottish Government, supporting and advising the Executive Team. In this role you will use specialist skills and expertise to define and deliver creative communications and engagement linked to the Executive Team's objectives and leadership priorities. You will work closely with Private Offices and the Corporate Communications team.

Developing and delivering internal and external leadership communications and engagement you will work collaboratively with senior leaders, communications teams, and policy officials as well as stakeholders.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Essential Criteria
1. Experience of working in an internal communications role, advising senior management on sensitive/high profile issues and delivering communications objectives with impact.
2. Strong organisational and planning skills, ability to prioritise, use initiative and engage confidently with staff at all levels of the organisation.
3. Strong judgement and political acuity, with a clear ability to quickly grasp issues and respond effectively to fast-moving situations.
4. Significant experience of communicating complex policies/organisational priorities through creative, clear and concise communications products across channels which resonate with audiences.
