We are currently seeking applications for a Finance Administrator within the Social Security based in Glasgow. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Social Security Scotland will deliver key Benefits to the people of Scotland and we are recruiting for a Finance Administrator to help shape the development of the Finance Unit team that supports the agency. Our top priority is to ensure the safe and secure transition of devolved benefits for the people who rely on them in Scotland.

This is a high-profile and exciting area, with continuing political, public and media interest. The Agency is split across two main locations, the headquarters in Dundee with Glasgow the other main location.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band A, you must hold a minimum of 5 Standard Grades (grades 1 – 3) or Ordinary Grades (A-C) including English and a numerical subject.

Essential Criteria
1. Good numerical and analytical skills, able to draw out key findings or recommendations from a range of data or information sources.
2. Good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to build and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
3. Good administration and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and workloads with a proactive approach.
4. Good working knowledge of corporate systems and IT applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
