We are currently seeking applications for a Data Governance Process Officer within the Social Security Directorate, Programme Management and Delivery based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

The Scotland Act 2016 devolves responsibility for a number of social security benefits to Scottish Ministers, as well as the power to top up benefits and create new benefits. The benefits to be devolved amount to some £2.9bn expenditure per year in Scotland and required the creation of a new Agency, Social Security Scotland, to deliver these benefits to citizens.

This post is part of the Programme devolving Social Security Benefits to Scotland and launching a new Social Security Agency. This is a high-profile and exciting programme of work, which has political, public and media interest.The postholder will be required to trvel between Scothish Government offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh and occasionally Dundee.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Essential Criteria
1. Knowledge and experience of data quality and data processes principles and best practice in a large, complex organisation.
2. Strong attention to detail with ability to analyse complex situations and to derive workable solutions.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to establish strong relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders with focus on driving value through continuous improvement.
4. Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change to deliver quality outcomes.
