We are currently seeking applications for a Resourcing and Interchange Team Leader within the People Directorate based in Edinburgh. This is a 12 month fixed term and pensionable appointment to cover maternity leave and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

This post sits within HR Resourcing within People Directorate, People Development Division and provides an excellent opportunity to work in a rapidly changing environment, helping to deliver creative resourcing solutions which will have an impact across Scottish Government and its Agencies.
The commitment in our People Strategy is to have the right people in the right place with the right skills at the right time. This post offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the HR Resourcing agenda across the Scottish Government in the context of SG2020 and specifically the Matching Resources to Priorities strand.

The Resourcing team provides a service to managers and individuals for all types of resourcing - internal and external recruitment, promotion and interchange. The team deals with all types of appointment – permanent, fixed term and temporary. There are currently several high profile resourcing projects and also a drive to improve resourcing data and information to inform workforce plans across the SG.  This post will provide an excellent opportunity to contribute to this work.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent or evidence of working in a challenging customer service environment .
Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

1. Ability to manage people and teams effectively in a fast paced environment.
2. Ability to manage competing priorities whilst meeting deadlines and maintaining a consistently high standard of customer service.
3. Ability to act on own initiative and to take responsibility for you and your teams performance at work.
4. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems.
