We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Corporate Reporting Manager within the Social Security Scotland based in Glasgow. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. We are recruiting for a Senior Corporate Reporting Manager responsible for the financial management processes adopted by the agency, preparation of the annual accounts and liaising with internal and external audit.

This role is in the Corporate Finance team within Finance and Corporate Services which covers three main areas: Financial Planning, Corporate Reporting and; Banking, controls and assurance. This is a high-profile and exciting area, with continuing political, public and media interest. The Agency is split across two main locations, the headquarters in Dundee with Glasgow the other main location.

Qualifications Required
Professionally qualified accountant – CCAB professional accountancy body or equivalent with up to date CPD.

Essential Criteria
1. Significant experience in managing budgets either resource or capital, in large complex organisations.
2. Ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate effectively with external and internal stakeholders with a proven ability to explain financial information effectively to stakeholders and non-finance professionals.
3. Proven ability to work on your own initiative, to deliver high quality outcomes and outputs and to meet deadlines whilst managing competing pressures.
4. Must be credible with staff, creating conditions to build confident and effective teams that empower, value, develop and motivate people.
