We are currently seeking applications for a Business Analyst within the Scottish Government based in Glasgow. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. DDaT Pay Supplement
This post attracts a £4,000.00 DDaT pay supplement after a 9 month DDaT competency qualifying period. Pay supplements are temporary payments designed to address recruitment and retention issues caused by market pressures and are subject to regular review.

Disclosure Scotland provides criminal record checking services to individuals and organisations to support safer recruitment and protect vulnerable groups. We are currently undergoing a digital transformation to develop and continuously improve services based on user needs. This is a rare opportunity to help transform the way the government provides this critical public service to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.

To enable this transformation we are working collaboratively across the business to deliver and improve our services using agile methodologies. We'll design and deliver innovative, resilient and enabling technologies, products and services to meet the current and future.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Essential Criteria
1. Proven ability and experience of working in a fully Agile environment with demonstrable experience of Scrum and KANBAN.
2. Able to help to identify and confirm business objectives to help prioritise the requirements and manage business expectations around scope and business values.
3. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, a logical approach to problem solving and able to apply these skills to create clear, concise and informative user stories.
4. Ability to mentor and transfer knowledge to less experienced members of the team.
