We are currently seeking applications for a Fiscal Framework Policy Officer within the Scottish Exchequer Fiscal Sustainability Division based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

This post sits within the Fiscal Sustainability Division whose work also spans Finance constitutional policy (the fiscal impact of EU Exit and loss of access to EU programmes) and Fiscal Sustainability Strategy (to ensure that the Scottish Exchequer deliver resource spending decisions that are fiscally sustainable over the medium to longer term).

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Essential Criteria
1. Good analytical skills and experience of working with Excel, with the ability to organise, collate and interrogate data and draw out key messages and findings to support decisions.
2. Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to present and communicate information in a clear and positive way.
3. Experience of establishing, developing and maintaining positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
4. Ability to work independently and problem solve.
