We are currently seeking applications for Central Authority Team Caseworker within the Courts and Tribunals unit based in St Andrew's House, Edinburgh, EH1 3DG. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

This role is within the Central Authority Team, which is part of the Courts and Tribunals unit. It is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly team, where you will be supported to build your knowledge and core skills. The Central Authority deal with international civil law, including recovery of child maintenance, parental child abduction, the service of judicial documents and taking of evidence. We engage with many countries around the world. It is a varied, challenging and busy role, with no two days the same.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band A, you must hold a minimum of 5 Standard Grades (grades 1–3) or Ordinary Grades (A-C) including English and a numerical subject.

Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

Essential Criteria
1. Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to improving performance, whilst delivering on own objectives.
2. Ability to communicate well, build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst working remotely.
3. Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage workload whilst paying attention to detail to ensure deadlines, and customer needs, are met.
4. Ability to manage and process sensitive information, sharing this when required with appropriate stakeholders in line with organisational procedures.
