We are currently seeking applications for a Finance, Governance and Business Manager within the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) based in Dundee. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

The postholder will play a critical corporate role in planning, implementing and monitoring processes to support OSCR to perform as a highly effective organisation. This post requires horizon scanning skills and a high level of proactive collaborative working across all levels of the organisation. It requires considerable analysis and planning skills, in addition to excellent communication and influencing ability.

This is an exciting new role which will see the postholder leading and improving the quality and provision of management information; leading delivery of our Corporate and Business Plans and have responsibility for corporate financial reporting and audit planning. As part of the Extended Leadership Team at OSCR, the postholder will have a corporate authority role for a number of key activities, and will work to engage colleagues in the ownership and delivery of our strategic objectives.

The postholder will have management responsibility of a team of 7 with 2 direct reports.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Essential Criteria
1. Proven organisational skills, including the ability to plan effectively, work under pressure and balance competing priorities whilst meeting deadlines.
2. Strong influencing, leadership and motivational skills, including an ability to exert authority an amicable, engaging and effective manner.
3. Able to analyse, communicate and present complex or sensitive information in a way which identifies emerging issues and actions with due consideration to the potential implications and effects.
4. Knowledge of project management techniques, and proven project manage mentality across a range of projects, to support continuous performance improvement.
