We are currently seeking applications for Senior HR Administrators within the HR Shared Services based in Edinburgh. These are permanent and pensionable appointments and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. An exciting opportunity now exists within HR Shared Services for you to come and join our team. We provide a range of HR support services to staff in the Scottish Government and a number of public bodies. In a busy operational environment we support approx. 12500 customers by offering services from HR Help, Payroll, and Pay Admin to Pensions.

Our services are key to staff being paid accurately and on time. Flexibility along with the ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and quick-paced customer service environment are crucial to our success.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band A, you must hold a minimum of 5 Standard Grades (grades 1–3) or Ordinary Grades (A-C) including English and a numerical subject.

Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

Essential Criteria
1. Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and be able to prioritise and manage your workload against deadlines within a demanding and fast-paced environment.
2. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst delivering consistently high standards of customer service.
3. Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
4. Competent and confident using computer based systems and Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Outlook and Excel.

Important Information Regarding Interviews

In order to facilitate this new way of working, we are asking all applicants to ensure that they have a suitable space to complete the virtual interview. In addition, a personal device of choice, which has the Skype for Business application downloaded. This will allow candidates to undertake the interview/assessment if selected. We are also asking you to ensure that your personal Wi-Fi/Broadband capacity will be sufficient to carry both audio and video feeds.
