We are currently seeking applications for Pensions Administrator within the Scottish Public Pensions Agency based in SPPA, Galashiels. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

The Agency administers pensions for 500,000 employees and pensioners and has responsibility for providing policy advice to Ministers on public sector pensions. The Customer Service teams contribute to the Agency Strategic Plan and ensure that we can support and respond to around 140,000 telephone calls, 60,000 letter and 25,000 electronic correspondence from our customers every year.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band A, you must hold a minimum of 5 Standard Grades (grades 1–3) or Ordinary Grades (A-C) including English and a numerical subject.

Essential Criteria
1. Good communication skills with the ability to produce accurate numeric and well-structured written work.
2. Ability to work as part of a team, maintaining good working relationships and contributing to the teams overall performance.
3. Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and plan work.
4. Experience of using a range of Information Management systems showing awareness of Data Protection and Data Security.
