We are currently seeking applications for National Partnership Development Officer within Social Security Scotland based in Dundee or Glasgow. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Social Security Scotland is an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government. In Scotland we have a number of devolved benefits, and it's our responsibility to ensure that they are managed correctly and fairly, delivering 11 different types of benefits to the 1.4 million people who rely on them.

Central to our approach is a belief that Social Security is a human right. We work to ensure that people get what they are entitled to and are treated with dignity, fairness and respect at all times.

These roles sit within Social Security Scotland's National Engagement Team which is responsible for working with a wide range of external partners to:
• raise awareness and enthusiasm about Social Security Scotland's work;
• support the launch of new benefits, ensuring people understand eligibility and how to contact us and then maximising the take-up of our services;
• tap into the huge amount of expertise that exists amongst our stakeholder community and use that to inform the work we are doing to design and develop the best service we can; and
• develop referral pathways so we can make sure that any of our clients who need broader support can be connected with an organisation who can provide that support.

The team has made a great start with our work so far but there is lots more to do so we are looking to expand our numbers. These new B3 roles will be pivotal parts of the team, helping to strengthen and extend our existing engagement work and prepare our stakeholders for the busy period of benefit rollouts we'll shortly we entering.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent or relevant experience.

Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

3. You'll have excellent communication skills. You will be able to confidently engage with people from all walks of life and be willing and able to adapt your approach to build consensus and drive forward collective progress.
4. You will always want to get better. You'll have a strong track record of continuous improvement, working closely with others to identify where things could be made better and then working in partnership to make those improvements happen

Important Information Regarding Interviews
