We are currently seeking applications for an Head of Strategy and Communications within Revenue Scotland based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. The Head of Strategy and Communications is an exciting post, offering a great opportunity to develop core business strategies, and to co-ordinate the delivery of our cross-cutting strategic objectives by managing the delivery of the development programme set out in our 3 year Business Plan. You will also lead our internal and external communications activities, ensuring they are well planned and fit for purpose. You will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of the organisation as a whole, working collaboratively within the leadership cohort.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Revenue Scotland staff are currently working from home.  Your induction and learning will be undertaken remotely and you will be required to be working from a home environment where confidentiality can be maintained.  As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic we aspire to be an agile workforce that allows individuals flexibility regarding where and when they work, enabling staff health and well-being to thrive.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

Essential Criteria
1. Strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders that generate confidence, respect and collaborative working.
2. Strong written and oral communication skills.
3. Ability to develop and communicate a compelling vision for change and to lead others towards and through it  collaboratively.
4. Experience of developing strategies and making connections between business plans and strategic objectives.
