We are currently seeking applications for Child Disability Payment Practitioner within Social Security Scotland based in Glasgow or Dundee with some remote working. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

This is an exciting time to join us to support the roll out of Child Disability Payment. This role will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to help shape the development of this new service and ensure we make the right decisions for our clients.
Who we are looking for
•This role is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to develop their skills and would suit professionals from a clinical background in Children's Health or with experience of working with Families with Disable Children and young people.
•We would welcome applications from individuals registered with the NMC/HCPC with a background in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
•Relevant qualifications and registration (NMC/HCPC),
•Proven experience of working with children, young people and their families.
1. Extensive and demonstrable experience relevant to your scope of practice.
2. Strong history of completing CPD which has advanced professional skills and knowledge.
3. Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
4. Ability to provide objective accurate advice and guidance at every stage of the client journey whilst upholding the ethos of dignity, fairness and respect.
5. The flexibility and willingness to embrace new ways of working, contributing ideas and professional expertise to drive continuous improvement.
6. Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
•This posts attracts a pay supplement between £1,500 to £4500 depending on placement on the salary scale. Pay supplements are temporary payments designed to address recruitment and retention issues caused by market pressures and are subject to regular review.
•This is a permanent and pensionable appointment. Health professional staff providing health assessments and medical opinion in relation to the administration of disability benefits, and who are existing members of the NHS Pension Scheme, will be permitted continued access to the NHS Pension Scheme.
•Professional membership registration costs paid by Social Security Scotland.
