We are currently seeking applications for Project Assistant within the National Records of Scotland based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. We are currently seeking applications for a Project Assistant.

The post is part of the newly created NRS Delivery Directorate which will lead and deliver the corporate change portfolio and manage the underlying portfolio governance framework. At a time of significant change and delivery priorities this role will be key to supporting the establishment and development of a centralised corporate change function to enable the delivery of the NRS strategic objectives.

This could be an excellent development opportunity for someone wanting to pursue a career in change and projects with the potential to shadow colleagues and train towards a change role (analysis, governance or project management).

Essential Criteria
1. Excellent administration and organisational skills with the ability to be proactive and to prioritise workloads.
2. Ability to manage multiple activities and initiatives to a high standard, ideally within a project environment.
3. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. With experience of delivering written reports which are clearly presented within tight deadlines.
4. Strong interpersonal and engagement skills, including experience of dealing effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
