We are currently seeking applications for a Hydrodynamic Model Project Developer and Manager within Marine Scotland Science based at the Marine Laboratory in Aberdeen.

The role of this post is to administer and support the maintenance and development of a state-of-the-art hydrodynamic model of Scottish shelf waters (the Scottish Shelf Model, SSM), under the guidance of the SSM Steering Group, working towards the establishment of a permanent Scottish hydrodynamic modelling service framework in close collaboration with the Scottish marine science community, industry and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience Required
A relevant graduate qualification in a mathematical, physical or any other relevant discipline with clear evidence of a strong numeric ability. Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

The successful candidate will require experience of use of hydrodynamic models and excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure that you can work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

This is a 3 year Fixed Term and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range.
