We are currently seeking applications for a Programme Coordinator within the FSS: Director of Strategy and Corporate Affairs based in Aberdeen. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

The Corporate Governance, ICT & Change, branch provides a range of services to support the organisation to deliver its statutory obligations and strategic goals. These services include Programme Management Office (PMO), Business Performance Reporting, IT, Records and Information Management, Facilities Management, Health and Safety, and Administrative support.

The PMO supports Food Standards Scotland (FSS) programmes and projects. A Programme Coordinator, with strong organisational and communication skills, is required to support internal partners and stakeholders to ensure programme and project deliverables, timelines and communications are coordinated and delivered while supporting the Programme Management Officer in the running and development of the PMO.

Qualifications required
Prince2 or a similar Project Management qualification.

Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

Essential Criteria
1. Proven work experience within a Programme or Project Management Office and familiarity with the PRINCE2 and/or Agile project management methods
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence in engaging with a range of people at all levels.
3. Motivated and well organised with the ability to use own initiative to work at times with limited supervision and under pressure to meet programme and project related targets.
4. Excellent organisational and administration skills, including minute taking.

Important Information Regarding Interviews
In recognition of the Scottish Government's ongoing measures and guidance in its response to Covid-19 (Coronavirus), we would like to advise applicants that a decision has been taken that all interviews must be conducted in a virtual/remote setting.

In order to facilitate this new way of working, we are asking all applicants to ensure that they have a suitable space to complete the virtual interview. In addition, a personal device of choice, which has the interview application downloaded. This could be MS Teams or Webex for example. This will allow candidates to undertake the interview/assessment if selected. We are also asking you to ensure that your personal Wi-Fi/Broadband capacity will be sufficient to carry both audio and video feeds. This will then ensure that there are no issues incurred during the interview.
