We are currently seeking applications for an A3 Corporate Services Assistant within Office of the Charity Regulator based in Dundee. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria below will be invited to the assessments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to become a Corporate Services Assistant with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).

Corporate Services Assistants form an important part of the Corporate Services Team at OSCR. They perform the role of OSCR’s reception and are the first point of contact for many of our customers.  Regular duties include answering phones and emails and handling the post.  You will provide first class customer service as well as having meticulous attention to detail and working with a high degree of accuracy.

OSCR is the independent regulator and registrar of all Scottish charities. We are a Non Ministerial Department which means that although we are employed as Scottish Government employees we answer to a Board of non-executive directors who are independent of government.

Our office is based in Dundee, however we offer a hybrid work-style allowing staff to work remotely on the understanding that they are able to attend their contractual work location as required.

Qualifications Required
For jobs in Band A, you must hold a minimum of 5 Standard Grades (grades 1–3) or Ordinary Grades (A-C) including English and a numerical subject.

Essential Criteria
1. Excellent administration and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.
2. Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, engaging with a range of people at all levels with an ability to confidently handle a high volume of incoming telephone calls in a professional, courteous and clear manner.
3. Good IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office-based software such as Excel, Word and Outlook with an ability to learn other internal software.
4. Ability to use on initiative and work with minimal supervision whilst ensuring accuracy and attention to detail is maintained.
